Glorious Life

The warmth of Your sun
on my shoulders

The touch of Your gentle summer breeze
across my face

A chorus of birds singing
Your favorite song

Cool dewy grass
tickling my toes

I am alive
and very much awake
in this beautiful world You've given me

Thank You for another glorious day

Today I Pray...

...that this feeling of awareness
and deep appreciation
stays with me every day

...it's so easy to get caught up
in the rush of the day

I don't want to miss a moment
of appreciating

...all that is You

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11

Ooohhhh! I am glad you found me for I have now found you! Your poem is beautiful and reminds me of how I love the natural. I am also reminded of how I used to write poetry just for me and loved the expression. I will begin that form once again as God guides me back into it.
May your day be filled with sweet moments and continuos awareness. ~ linda

The picture is so beautiful . . .matches your words :) Aren't we kinda funny sometimes? we get so caught up in Trying So Hard, when God is just inviting us to BE with Him, to glory in His presence, to let His stillness fill us from our insides out.

Today's post sounds as if you are finding that still center. I'm glad for you. You've been in my prayers.

Your lovely post reminds me of one of my very favorite verses..."Be still and know that I am God." Your posts are like a devotional book to me. Did you ever think of combining your writing and your photography to create a devotional book for people like me? So refreshing to visit here. Thank you for kind, gentle reminders in the midst of busy life.

I second Judy's suggestion . . . I think your posts here would be a lovely, uplifting combination.

Well ladies -- and friends -- thank you for giving me some food for thought. Until a few months ago, I have never been particularly confident about sharing my writing with people...but that is definitely changing -- thanks in part to your support and feedback. :)

I'm going to do a little research to see what my options are. It would make me extremely happy to be able to publish something. I will keep you posted.

Thanks for the positive thoughts.
