More Answered Prayers - DaySpring

Please forgive me for not writing this in any sort of poetic style, but some things are not conducive to creative writing style. As some of you know, for some time now I've been praying for guidance on life's journey -- particularly around my writing. Your comments and feedback have truly been uplifting to me, and your presence here at Today I Pray has been a gift.

For the past 6 months or so, I've realized that I feel a real "draw" towards writing. Truthfully, if I could, I would spend all day writing creatively and snapping photos to share with you -- but there is a simple reality about life, and that is that I need to work and contribute to my family's monthly budget. Needless to say, I balance my writing with work (as an marketing consultant and a Wildtree representative).

The "pull" towards writing has caused me to pray every day for that light bulb that would illuminate the way for me to keep writing...and keep contributing as needed to the family budget. Yesterday, I saw the first inkling of opportunity, and as always -- when I know God is answering my prayers, I want to share it with you.

I have established an affiliate relationship with a company called DaySpring. Maybe you've heard of them? Perhaps you've even shopped with them?

DaySpring is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Christian cards, gifts, jewelry, art, decor and more! They offer more than 1100 products online and touch more than 850 million people each year. Based in Arkansas, DaySpring has a staff of over 300 employees and is a subsidiary of Hallmark.

So what does it mean that I have an affiliate relationship? Quite simply, when people go through this website to shop with DaySpring online, I earn a commission. Yes, you could shop directly with them -- but I'm praying and asking, that if/when you are looking for that special gift or keepsake, you'll consider coming to my site first and shopping through me.

As you may know, there are thousands of companies out there with whom web publishers can establish affiliate relationships. But I don't want to just put a bunch of random affiliate links on my website -- I want to provide connections to companies that I know will provide value for you. DaySpring is definitely one of those companies.

I will be incorporating a permanent link to the DaySpring online store from this webpage, and on an ongoing basis I will pass along any discounts or special offers that I can. I hope you'll take a look at their site, and keep them in mind in the future.

As a special introductory offer, I am very pleased to be able to provide these offers good through July 2009.

$10 Off Orders of $60 or more - Use Promo Code: 10off60

$20 Off Orders of $100 or more - Use Promo Code: 20off100

Thank you so much for reading this much longer than usual post -- and for keeping this company in mind. They really do have some wonderful products.

Today I Pray...

...with gratitude for the light bulb that went off

...for the special people who visit this site and provide comments that lift my spirits and give me confidence to move in the direction of my dreams

...for the prayers You answer

...and the ones You don't

I am blessed.

...i love that, "...for the prayers You answer, and the ones You don't...I AM BLESSED!!!" AMEN! He gives and he takes away. He opens doors and he closes them. He comforts and He chastens, but all the while, WE ARE BLESSED! Ah, my heart is leaping for joy over that statement right now...I AM BLESSED!

Dayspring truly is a great company and I buy their cards probably more often than any other card. I live in Kansas and Hallmark is actually based out of Kansas City, MO - at crown center. I had a dear customer of mine who worked for their company for many years and wrote for their Shoebox line. He brother still works there. Sadly, she passed away (at a young age) from cancer a little under a year ago. At her funeral, there were more laughs than tears. Her "shoebox" family set up a station at the back of her "memorial service" and it was just posterboards full of the cards she had written and/or co-written while at shoebox. It was a neat experience in a bitter-sweet way to attend a memorial service like that. Her life was just filled with what she was passionate about, Jesus, family, writing and her joy in making others laugh.
